Hope Police Arrest Murder Suspect Corey Turner

turnerOn Saturday, November 1, 2014, at approximately 1pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Corey R. Turner, 25, of Hope, for Murder 1st degree and Arson.
The charges were the result of an investigation into a house fire that occurred on October 28, 2014 at a residence located at 221 North Prichard Street, in Hope, Arkansas. Upon extinguishing the fire, the body of Thomas Youngblood, 20, of Hope, was located inside the residence. It was determined that Youngblood was the victim of an apparent homicide.
On Saturday, November 1, 2014, officers received information regarding a possible sighting of Murder Fugitive Corey Turner at 2700 East 3rd Street, known as Southern Bakeries Inc., in Hope, Arkansas.
Officers arrived on scene and located Turner in front parking area of the building. Officers took Turner into custody without incident. Corey Turner was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he is being held for a first appearance.
