Klondike Leadership Academy (KLA), a free local program focused on teaching leadership and responsibility skills to children from kindergarten to fifth grade, is partnering with Redwater Junior High to host a career fair for local children. The career fair will be held at Redwater Junior High at 204 Red River Rd. N, Texarkana, TX on Friday, March 8 from 9 am to 1 pm. This is a free event, but there will be a fundraiser by KLA set up selling popcorn to benefit their program.

One of the skills taught in Klondike Leadership Academy is commitment, and to focus on that skill students completed dream boards about what they want to be when they grow up. KLA took the dream boards created by students and located as many occupations listed on the boards as possible and gathered them together for the event. Schools that are attending this event are as follows: Redwater Elementary (9-10 am), Redwater Middle School (9:30-10:30 am), Kilpatrick (9-10 am), Linden-Kildare (10-11 am), Pleasant Grove (11:30-12:30 pm), Maud (12-1 pm). Schools that would like to attend can contact Suki O’Neal at suki.oneal@healthcareexpress.us to reserve a time slot for the career fair.
