Texarkana will be having a “Front Street Food Fest” on October 19, 2019; following one of the biggest races of the city, Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Front Street Food Fest will offer a variety of food ranging from home-grown fresh produce of local farmers to fine cuisine from food trucks. We are inviting the local community, tourists, and surrounding areas to come out and enjoy the unique tasteful food that our city has to offer.
Want to learn about the history of Downtown Texarkana and its many historic churches, all while having fun, staying active, and enjoying the beautiful fall weather? Every Friday this October, the Texarkana Arts & Historic District will have bike tours of historic downtown Texarkana! Meet at 5:15 PM at the Museum of Regional History (219 N State Line Ave.) and be ready for an approximately hour long leisurely ride around the downtown area. Things at Discovery Place are about to get ooey gooey! Kids will be able to make their very own slime that will look like pumpkin guts! We’ll be getting our hand dirty on October 19th from 2-3 pm and tickets will be $8 per person and $3 for TMS members.
