16 year-old Luker Hays of Texarkana TX recently rescued a baby deer that had been swimming and became trapped in a barbed wire fence and near drowning on flooded pasture land in the Wamba bottoms.
According to his dad Luker used a duck boat to get to the vicinity of the deer then swam to it to free it from the fence. He then took the deer by boat to safety.
