Man Arrested On Blanton After Firing Gun 13 Times in Front of Officer

TEXARKANA, Texas–On August 21st officers had responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 300 block of Blanton St. throughout the day. Officers were advised by neighbors that the suspect lived at a residence in that block and would come out and fire a handgun from the porch. Officers tried to make contact with the suspect but he would not come to the door.

Around 9:39pm a patrol officer in the area observed the suspect come out and fire the handgun approximately 13 times from the porch. The officer advised that he approached the residence but the suspect reentered the residence. Officers made contact with the suspect, Tacorrius Jordan, 22, of Texarkana Texas, and convinced him to come out peacefully where he was arrested for discharging a firearm within the city limits.
