TEXARKANA, Texas–Texarkana, Texas Police Officers responded to a call of a man threatening to jump off the Summerhill Road overpass of Interstate 30 at approximately 9:15pm on August 2nd, 2014.
Officers were advised that a 45 year old white male had climbed out on a ledge and was threatening to jump. Officers attempted to convince the victim to not jump. A Bowie County Deputy responded to assist with the negotiations. At approximately 10:30pm, Officers were able to get a rope around the victim and lifted him to safety. The victim was transported to St. Michaels Hospital for evaluation.
