Medical Helicopter Makes Rough Emergency Landing

Red Lick, Texas – Around 1:45 pm this afternoon, a helicopter owned by EagleMed made an emergency landing in soybean field on Barkman Farms on FM 2253 about one mile west of State Highway 559. The helicopter made the landing as a result of a mechanical failure.

There were no injuries as a result of the landing. One individual was transported to St. Michael’s by ambulance because the individual already had medical injuries before and was being transported to Texarkana for these injuries.

The nose of the helicopter had visible damage as well as the tail had damage that appeared to be from the top helicopter blades. Any damage to the helicopter has not been confirmed.
