North Heights Junior High School Band earns top ratings at contest

North Heights Junior High band earned 1st Division and Superior Ratings at the New Boston Concert and Sight-reading Contest on Wednesday, February 21st. Comments from the contest judges about the North Heights performance included: “Good performance today, you played with confidence and spirit; well rehearsed!” and “Nice Job Today! Really nice marching style, melodies, and countermelodies.”

Of the performance, the NHJH band director said, “The band really stepped it up today. The performance was terrific and I am very proud to direct such a great group of young ladies and gentlemen.”

The band’s next performance will be at Regional Competition, on Friday, March 8th, at Lake Hamilton High School in Hot Springs.
