One in custody after police pursuit ends in crash


9:30 p.m. Wednesday | The driver of a silver pickup truck is in custody after leading Texarkana, Ark. Police on a pursuit that ended when he wrecked into a fence.

The pursuit started when an officer attempted to stop a silver Ford F-150 for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of Arkansas Blvd.


The driver led police down down Jefferson before cutting across State Line and driving through the grass of Walgreens and then continuing south on State Line Ave. The suspect crashed into a fence on E. 15th St. at State Line Ave. and ran from the vehicle on foot. Officers pursued the suspect on foot and quickly took him into custody.

The identity of the suspect and charges he is facing is not yet available.
