One suspect arrested in Beacon Point double homicide

Texarkana Arkansas Police arrested 27-year-old Rashod Rushing, of Texarkana Texas, on December 11, 2015, after being located by U.S Marshalls in Dangerfield, Texas. Rushing has been charged with 2nd degree Murder for the death of Julian Bolton.

At this time Texarkana Arkansas Police continue to search for 27-year-old Justin Damone Johnson. Johnson has an outstanding warrant for Capital Murder, for the death of Travon Staten.

On Friday November 20, 2015 at 12:00am Texarkana Arkansas Police responded to the 2300 block of Arkansas Blvd, Beacon Point Apartments, in reference to several 911 calls of shots fired. Upon arrival Officers located the first subject inside an upstairs apartment deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. A second subject was located outside of the apartment also deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

TAPD Detectives has determined this to be a home invasion that was narcotic related. Several types of narcotics, money, and weapons were located at the scene.
