Collection week is Nov. 16 – Nov. 23 for Operation Christmas Child, which is a project of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers boxes with gifts to children oversees in need.

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease and famine. Over 8 million boxes were distributed last year.

Boxes have been shipped to over 130 countries since 1993. The boxes are filled with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child like small toys, school supplies, hygiene items and candy for shipment overseas.
