The 30th annual Opportunities, Inc. Invitational Golf Tournament will be held this Monday, September 9th at the Texarkana Country Club.
This year’s special guest will be Robyn Moore. Robyn has been an adult client at Opportunities, Inc. since 2016. She started out at the day program and is now part of our integrated employment and residential programs. She has held internships at both Texas and Arkansas City Hall and was recently hired to work for our Arkansas Children’s Program as a culinary assistant. Mrs. Moore is part of the “Sounds of Joy” choir, Kiwanis Border City Aktion Club, and Highland Park church.
The tournament is sponsored by 40 local businesses and partners, led by the top sponsor, Patterson Dental Center. Contests include a hole-in-one challenge, sponsored by Alexander’s Jewelers, and a golf simulator. The “Sounds of Joy” choir will also give a memorable performance at the awards dinner.
To date, the Opportunities, Inc. Invitational Golf Tournament has raised over $2.5 million for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
