Pre-k and Kindergarten classes at First Baptist Church on Moores Lane shrieked with enthusiasm as they watched a performance by Pete the Cat, a fictional cartoon cat in a children’s book series.
The church hosts these events once a year, last year featuring Curious George. FBC discovered the children’s book mascot performances after Atlanta, Texas Public Library hosted Pete the Cat at their establishment.
FBC is encouraging other local schools to book performances like these and are happy to help with any questions regarding the booking process.
Pete the Cat performed two books from the series, ‘My Four Groovy Buttons’ and ‘I Love My White Shoes.’
