Police identify suspect in Willows Aparments shooting

johnsonOn Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Texarkana Arkansas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1400 block of East 35th St., an apartment complex. Upon Officers arrival they located the victim, in the parking lot, with 2 gunshot wounds in his leg. The victim was transported by LifeNet to Wadley hospital for medical attention with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed the victim was leaving his apartment and traveling down the stairway when he was approached by 2 males. One of the males, Denetra Johnson, pulled a gun on the victim and shot approximately 7 times in the victim’s direction, striking him 2 times in the leg. At that time the victim retreated back inside his apartment and called 911 for help. It is believed that the victim was the intended target of this attack.

Currently Johnson is wanted for 1st degree Battery, Terroristic Act, and Aggravated Assault.
