Texarkana Texas and Arkansas Police Departments want to advise citizens that any phone call regarding solicitation of money for police is fraudulent and should be ignored.

“We have received complaints regarding companies or individuals soliciting money for the Texarkana Texas and Texarkana Arkansas Police Department,” said Sergeant Geoffrey Lewis. “Upon investigation of this complaint, we learned the Texarkana Arkansas Police Association had contracted with an independent company to raise funds. However, the company violated the terms of the contract and the Police Association is no longer affiliated with the company.”

The Texarkana Texas Police Department isn’t currently soliciting any funds.

“We also want to remind citizens you shouldn’t provide personal information over the phone to untrusted companies or individuals,” said Lewis.
