Overnight, campus administration at Pleasant Grove were made aware of a social media post that raised concern. Campus administration reported the post to the PGISD School Resource Officer.
In a press release Director of Communications Shelby DeMuth said, “The Texarkana Texas Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and campus administration continue to work together to ensure the safety of our campus. There is no current threat to Pleasant Grove High School or its staff or students at this time. There has been no disruption to the normal school day operations.”
“The safety of our students and staff is the top priority in the Pleasant Grove Independent School District. We would like to thank the Texarkana Texas Police Department and the Department of Public Safety for their diligence in assisting campus administration and ensuring the safety for all.”
