Prison Escapee Still on Loose in Fouke Area

Jeremy Pifer, 35, has been missing since last Thursday after he reportedly walked away from a work detail just south of Fouke, Arkansas. Pifer was serving time at the Southwest Arkansas Community Corrections Center for a burglary.

According to Fouke Mayor Terry Purvis, the escapee was sighted this morning in the Fouke area.

“We have had a sighting that they are checking out. I do not know if it was him but it appears he is around this area. It was confirmed it was him at the EZ Mart at 3 AM this morning and was on video tape. US Marshals, Arkansas State Police, Miller County Sheriffs Office and ADC officers are in Fouke now searching here and around Fouke, He is still on the loose.”
