Redwater man’s video of Tony Stewart goes viral

A Redwater man’s video of Nascar driver Tony Stewart confronting a fan has garnered the attention of the national media and had over 1 million views on Facebook.

The video was shot by Tyler Haire of Redwater at the Chili Bowl dirt-track racing event at the Tulsa Expo Center. Haire’s Facebook post has over 13,000 shares.

The video posted to Facebook just after 9 p.m. Friday shows Stewart going into the stands and confronting a heckler. The man and Stewart lock hands and argue with each other. Then the man falls back into his seat as a security guard intervenes.

According to media reports the fan was an off duty Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputy. The Sheriff’s office is now conducting an investigation.
