Shooting at River Crossing Apartment Leaves One Dead

11:30 P.M. Tuesday | Texarkana, Texas Police responded to River Crossing Apartments at 1023 College Drive on reports of a shooting.

TXK Today arrived on scene shortly after the police. LifeNet staged a block away for at least 10 minutes before being called into the scene. LifeNet did not attempt any life saving measures.

A body could be seen covered by a white sheet between the apartments and the parking lot.

TEXARKANA, Texas–Texarkana, Texas Police responded to a shots fired call at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of College Drive on June 17th, 2014 at approximately 11:45pm.
On June 17, 2014 at approximately 11:45pm officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 1000 block of College Drive. Officers were advised that there was a victim of a gunshot wound on scene while in route. Upon arrival officers discovered the victim, Xavier Rollins, 25 years old, of Texarkana, Texas, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Rollins was discovered outside of an apartment. The investigation is ongoing.
