SWEPCO Preparing for Severe Weather

A line of strong thunderstorms is heading towards Texarkana.SWEPCO said it is watching the weather forecast closely for potential strong thunderstorms that could impact its service area later today.

According to SWEPCO’s Facebook page they are preparing for the weather.

SWEPCO is preparing for severe weather today in its three-state service area. The company has requested an additional 60 line crews, or about 240 linemen, to assist with storm repairs. Also, SWEPCO has 150 tree crews (or 450 total personnel) on stand by to work in the hardest hit areas. Remember, you can report outages 24 hours a day at swepco.com or by calling 1-888-218-3919.
