Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department delivered free snow cones to children around Texarkana, Arkansas Wednesday.
Officers visited apartment complexes around the city. Escorting the snow cone van into the complexes with lights and sirens blaring children came running from all directions.
Joslyn Vickers, owner of Kona Ice, served the snow cones.
According to TAPD Corporal Kristi Bennett anonymous donations from three area businesses allowed the police department to provide the snow cones.
Bennett said that officers gave out over 350 snow cones.
TXK Today caught up with officers handing out snow cones at Smith-Keys Village Apartments.
