TAPD investigating two armed robberies on State Line

Texarkana Arkansas Police are currently investigating 2 separate armed robbery incidents believed to have been committed by 2 different suspects.

The first armed robbery occurred Thursday evening at approximately 7:00 p.m. at EZ-Mart in the 4500 Block of North State Line Avenue. According to Texarkana, Ark. Police Public Information Officer Kristi Bennett, during this incident a black male wearing a red hoodie and dark colored jeans approached the counter displaying a handgun and demanded money from the register. The unknown suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the business on foot.

The second armed robbery occurred around 1:00 a.m. Friday morning at Speed X in the 2400 Block of North State Line Avenue. During this incident a black male, approximately 5’6 and 150lbs, wearing all black clothing, with half of his face covered entered the store and approached the counter displaying a handgun. The suspect ordered the employee to face away from him and removed cash from the register. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled the business running on foot.

No injuries were reported from both incidents. At this time it is believed that 2 different suspects committed these crimes. Photos are not yet available of the suspect from the Speed X robbery.
