Texas A&M University-Texarkana has announced its fall 2017 Eagles tennis schedule.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Billy Power, now in his fourth season with A&M-Texarkana, the Eagles men’s and women’s tennis teams will face off against East Texas Baptist University in a Sept. 8 season opener at 4 p.m. in Marshall, Texas.
The Eagles will travel to a number of tournaments this fall, including an Oklahoma tournament on Sept. 15-16 in Oklahoma City, the Central/Southwest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tournament on Sept. 22-24 in Maize, Kansas, and the Collin County Community College Tournament on Oct. 13 in Plano, Texas.
Other matches throughout the season include Austin College on Sept. 10 in Sherman, Texas; Southwestern Christian University on Sept. 14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Texas Wesleyan University on Oct. 12 Arlington, Texas.
“As we continue to solidify our athletic programs, playing a schedule against top opponents will only elevate our level of play,” said Michael Galvan, director of athletics at A&M-Texarkana. “We look forward to a successful start to our tennis season.”
