Texarkana Arkansas Police Department promotes lieutenant to captain

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department announced Monday morning the recent promotion of one of their members to the rank of captain.

According to TAPD, Lieutenant Bobby Jordan has been promoted to the rank of Captain. He began his law enforcement career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department in March of 1995.

Prior to TAPD Cpt. Jordan served as a deputy for Bowie County Sheriff’s Offices and served in the United States Navy. During Cpt. Jordan’s tenure with TAPD he has been assigned to the Patrol Division as a patrol officer and the Criminal Investigation Division. Cpt. Jordan has served as a SWAT team leader, a Field Training Officer, and Honor Guard Supervisor.

In February of 2004, Cpt. Jordan was promoted to Sergeant. He then served as a supervisor in the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division. In April of 2013, Cpt. Jordan was promoted to Lieutenant.

Cpt. Jordan has many letters of commendation as well as receiving the Police Commendation bar twice, Officer of the Quarter, Officer of the Year, and received the Life Saving Award.
