12:30 am Thursday, April 10, 2014 Texarkana Texas Fire Department responded to the 1900 Block of Whitaker St to reports of a house on fire.
According to radio traffic the resident claimed that her husband had texted her earlier that he was going to “set her house on fire if she didn’t come home on time.”
When the fire department arrived the gas meter on the side of the house was consumed in flames. The inside of the house also had flames coming out of it in multiple spots. After about 20 minutes the fire appeared to be mostly under control, but the house suffered major fire damage.
