THREE ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY IN THE 2400 BLOCK OF WEST 12TH STREET.

Texarkana, Texas – Texarkana, Texas Police arrested three for Burglary of a Building that had just occurred on July 18th 2014 at approximately 10:15am.
Police were dispatched to a burglary call in the 2400 block of W.12th St. Witnesses in the area advised that three young black males were seen breaking in to an unoccupied residence. The suspects were seen loading up property into a two tone Chevrolet pickup. The witnesses observed the suspects leave in the truck and drive down a couple blocks and pull in to a yard in the 1000 block of Plum St. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the three suspects. Two of the suspects fled on foot but were both captured after a brief foot pursuit. Officers recovered the stolen property and identified the three suspects as Demarquis Blackwell, 20, of Texarkana, TX; Dezmon Harris, 23, of Texarkana, TX; and Quantavias Williams, 20, of Texarkana, AR. Williams and Blackwell were also booked in on Evading Arrest on Foot. Officers also determined that the truck used in the burglary was listed as stolen out of Cass County Texas. Williams also had a felony warrant out of Cass County. Harris also had some unrelated misdemeanor warrants.
