A 2-year-old boy shot himself in the head after finding a gun inside a residence Friday afternoon in Texarkana Ark., according to police.
According to Texarkana, Ark. Police they responded around 6:00 p.m. to the 6000 block of Summerwood Lane in reference to a 911 call of a shooting.
‘Upon officers arrival the victim, a 2 year old boy, was enroute by Life Net to St. Michaels for a gunshot wound to the head,” said Corporal Christi Bennett. “Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim located a gun inside the residence that discharged one shot.”
At this time the victim has been airlifted to Little Rock Ar for life threatening injuries.
Texarkana, Ark. Police continue to investigate.
