11:45 p.m. Saturday | Texarkana, Texas Fire Department responded to a residential fire on W. 4th Street near Congress Street.
According to Texarkana, Texas Police Officer Motley and Armstrong were first on scene and spoke with a man who advised that his roommate was asleep inside the house. Both officers went inside the house and located the man in a bedroom. They pulled him out of bed and took him outside.
One officer was slightly injured and treated on scene and treated on scene. Police say everyone is OK now though.
TTFD then mad entry to the structure and extinguished the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
