TTPD Arrests Man for Counterfeit Money and Drugs

According to Texarkana, Texas Police at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, detectives arrested Kendall Ray Gray, 27, of Texarkana, Texas, in connection with a counterfeit investigation.

Texarkana, Texas Police Public Information Officer  Sergeant Mike Jones says detectives were conducting surveillance on Gray after receiving information that he was involved in the counterfeiting of United States Currency.

“They stopped Gray’s vehicle in the 500 block of Oak Street for a traffic violation and subsequently arrested him for not having a driver’s license,” said Jones.  “During a search of Gray’s vehicle, the detectives discovered $250 of counterfeit currency and a semi-automatic handgun, as well as marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription drugs.”

Gray was charged with No Driver’s License, Forgery of Money, Possession of Marijuana and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held at the Bi-State Criminal Justice Center Jail awaiting bond.
