Two Arrested For Copper Theft

TEXARKANA, Texas–Texarkana, Texas Police responded to the 5000 block of North Stateline Avenue in reference to a suspicious vehicle at 9:50pm on September 24th 2014.

Upon arrival officers discovered the vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 5000 block of North Stateline Avenue but no one was around the vehicle. The Officers decided to check the new construction area on Bella Vista Road because of the proximity and previous reports of thefts in that area. Officers discovered a male, later identified as Alex Page, 28, of Texarkana Texas, standing in one of the open garages of one of the duplexes under construction. Page was holding wires in his hands. Page was detained and officers began searching the area and found another suspect, later identified as Justin McIntosh, 28, of Fouke Arkansas. Officers were able to determine McIntosh and Page were stealing wiring from the building under construction. They were both arrested for Theft of Material-(Aluminum/Bronze/Copper/Brass under $20,000).
