Sunday Morning March 5, 2017 Deputies with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office investigated a theft from the 70000 block of Blackman Ferry Road. During the investigation Corporal Phillip Hardemon develop information the stolen property was at a residence in the 6900 block of McClure Road. Corporal Hardemon and Deputy Stephen Rhyne confirmed the location of the stolen property. Sergeant Alan Keller responded to the location and gathered information for a search warrant of the home.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. a search warrant was served at 6939 McClure Road. During the search stolen antique gas signs, firearms, and methamphetamine were recovered.
36-year-old Brian Mudd was located hiding under a bed in the home and 39-year-old Tobey McCarley was located hiding under a couch in the home. Brian Mudd was arrested for Theft by Receiving, Possession of a Firearm by a felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Tobey McCarley was arrested for Theft by Receiving, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Simultaneous Possession of Narcotics and Firearm. Both were booked into the Miller County Detention Center.
