Arrests Result in More Than a Dozen Stolen Guns Being Recovered

Over the last few days, Investigators with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Criminal Investigation Division have been working with Bowie County Sherriff’s Office Investigators to locate suspects and evidence in several burglaries and thefts recently reported in Miller and Bowie Counties.

According to Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department Public Information Officer Kristi Mitchell  2 suspects, 19 year old Lane Adcock, and 19 year old Timothy Burton, were located in a stolen vehicle on McClure Lane by BCSO Investigators.

“The suspects attempted to elude Investigators which resulted in minor collision with a TAPD vehicle,” said Mitchell.

Both Adcock and Burton were taken into custody and charged with Theft by Receiving. Burton was additionally charged with Possession of a Weapon by Certain Person.

According to Mitchell investigators recovered more than a dozen stolen weapons, several rounds of ammunition and two televisions inside the vehicle.
