TxDOT seeks public feedback on Atlanta District Bicycle Plan through Nov. 6
TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation is inviting the public to weigh in on bicycle improvements across Northeast Texas through an interactive online map, part of its Atlanta District Bicycle Plan.
The online engagement runs through Nov. 6 and asks residents to review recommended bikeway functions for state roadways, proposed Bicycle Tourism Trail refinements and corridor priorities throughout the district. Most participants can finish in 10 to 15 minutes.
TxDOT’s Atlanta District covers nine counties: Bowie, Camp, Cass, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Panola, Titus and Upshur.
Public input will help shape the plan’s final recommendations and guide future bicycle improvements on the state system. The draft plan will be available for review and comment next year.
To participate, visit txdot.gov and search “Atlanta District Bicycle Plan.” Residents needing interpretation, translation or disability accommodations can contact TxDOT at 214-535-7261 or [email protected] at least five business days before the Nov. 6 deadline.
