January 8, 2015 | The City of Texarkana, Arkansas, is now accepting applications for vendors and parade entries for Mardi Gras 2015. The third annual celebration will take place at Front Street Festival Plaza on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015.
Activities planned include the parade, a children’s play area, food and retail vendors, a concert and more.
This year’s event theme is the Roaring ‘20s. The plaza area vendors open at 1 p.m. and the parade begins at 3 p.m.
The deadline for vendor applications is Jan. 21, and vendor fees range from $30 to $90, depending on the size of the space requested. Participating vendors will be contacted by Jan. 28 and provided space assignments. Vendor fees are due at that point.
The deadline to apply for entry to the parade is Jan. 23. There is no cost to enter the parade. Selected entries will be contacted by Jan. 30 with a space assignment and instructions for lining up.
