Visiting cats and dogs bring holiday joy to elderly in nursing home

Bailey Creek Health and Rehab residents enjoyed an afternoon of visiting with some furry friends.

On Tuesday, December 20th, Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, along with the Youth to Leadership group and Texarkana Animal League, participated in a fun holiday visit to Bailey Creek Health and Rehab, and they brought along some four legged visitors.

Texarkana Animal League paid a visit to the elderly, bringing numerous cats and dogs to Bailey Creek Health and Rehab for the residents to spend time loving on furry animals.

“This is just one way for TAPD, our youth, and a wonderful community organization to spread holiday cheer to others. TAPD is very blessed to have the continuous support of so many here in Texarkana Arkansas. We wish everyone to a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season,” said TAPD.
