Walmart Receives Threatening Phone Calls

Walmart on New Boston Road received a series of threatening phone calls today.

According to Texarkana, Texas Police Department public information officer Mike Jones, around 1:00 p.m. today officers responded to a bomb threat call at Walmart located at 400 New Boston Road following a series of threatening telephone call that were made to the business.

According to Jones the calls were placed from a private number and the caller is believed to be male.

Texarkana, Texas Fire Department had two fire trucks staged in the area along with LifeNet.

Walmart elected not to evacuate the business. The identity of the suspect is not presently known. The incident is still under investigation.
