UPDATE – According to Sheriff James Prince, Karen Paroline has been arrested.

According to Bowie County Sheriff’s Office on March 23, 2015 Sherman Prewitt filed a report with Investigator Will Buttram saying that two days earlier a white female had asked him for some gas money. Mr. Prewitt, who is a 33 year old disabled individual, agreed to buy this female five dollars’ worth of gasoline. They drove to the Love’s truck stop where the female used Mr. Prewitt’s debit card spending over $60.00.

When Mr. Prewitt found out about this, he confronted the female who said they could go to the Walmart in New Boston and she would put the money back in his account. Instead of putting money back on Mr. Prewitt’s card, the female made more purchases totaling over $300.00. When she came out of the store she told Mr. Prewitt they were unable to add the money back to his card at this location, so they would need to go to the Texarkana Walmart to do so.  In Texarkana this female spent another $150.00 on Mr. Prewitt’s card. When the female came out of this store, she gave Mr. Prewitt his card back and forced him out of her vehicle leaving him stranded in Texarkana.

Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Buttram retrieved video footage of the transactions involving Mr. Prewitt’s card.  According to BCSO these videos show a white female later identified as Karen May Paroline using Mr. Prewitt’s card to make these purchases.

An arrest warrant for Exploitation of Disabled Individual has been issued for Paroline, but her location is unknown at this time.

Paroline is white female fifty years of age who is 5’4” and weighs 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last known to have red hair. Anyone who comes in contact with Paroline’s should call 911, and anyone with information on Paroline’s whereabouts should call the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office at 903.798.3149.
