James G. Tarver, age 63, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Tarver was born on August 12, 1957 in Hobbs, New Mexico. James was a 1976 graduate of Hobbs High School where he was a member of the football team that made the cover of Sports Illustrated. In his Junior High years, he trained for the Jr. Olympics in track. James was very talented in Architectural Design and worked as a construction specialist in Texarkana. He loved the outdoors in general, but fishing was his passion. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents M. L. Tarver, Margie Olin Juckett, Joe Juckett and his grandparents.
He is survived by his children, Justin Tarver (Callie), and Shannon Hair (Michael); his mother Amy Tarver; his grandchildren Reese and Tatum Tarver and Maddox Hair; his sisters Sherri Dluzak (Roger), Julie Laws (Gary), Mary Ann Goodson (Charles); brothers Mike Tarver, and Billy Juckett and Jimmy Juckett.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
