Lauren Michele Poore, 39 of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Wadley Regional Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1985, in Texarkana, Texas to Jerry and Meka Poore.
Ms. Poore spent her working days as a hair stylist. She was a 4th generation barber/ hair stylist. Most of her career was spent working alongside her mother.
In her free time, she enjoyed nature walks, good food, and spending time with her boys and family.
Beyond Lauren’s pulchritude, she had a fervent, whimsical, undeniable love for her sons. She was tactful, effusive, and demonstrated an allegiance to her family. Her sweet disposition and ability to form a quick report helped her turn a stranger into a friend. She was always an ear to those who needed someone to listen to them. She was full of light, love, and perseverance- qualities that never went unnoticed or unappreciated. She was a wonderful and loving daughter, mother, sister, granddaughter, and niece.
Lauren is preceded in death by her grandparents, James “Blackie” and Mildred O’Rear, and her grandfather, Jerry D. Poore Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diorland and Lawson; her parents Jerry Poore and Meka Poore; one brother, Landon Poore; her grandmother, Lynda Poore; her aunts and uncles, Mark and Vickie O’Rear, and Michele and Warren Carter; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Texarkana Funeral Home- Texas with Pastor Randy Shepherd officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service from 2:00- 3:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to be made to Edward Jones 590 N. Kings Hwy. Suite 5 Wake Village, TX. 75501. This is a 529 college savings account for the children- Diorland and Lawson.
