Robert "Bobby" Andrew Ayers, 74, passed away in his home on August 8, 2026. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 30, 1952.

Robert "Bobby" Andrew Ayers, 74, passed away in his home on August 8, 2026. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 30, 1952.

Bobby spent his life mastering the open highway, dedicating nearly 30 years as an over-the-road truck driver for DeBoer, followed by approximately two years driving for Marten Trucking. Known to many as a reliable and hard-working professional, Bobby loved the freedom of the road and the community of fellow drivers he met along the way.

Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Walls Ayers, on March 6, 2000; his son, Terry Wayne Ayers; his parents, Arthur Lee Ayers and Bertha McDaniel Ayers; his sister, Pat Ayers Anderson; his brother, Charles "Chuck" Ayers; and his grandparents, Perry Lee Ayers, Nellie Reddish Ayers, Samuel McDaniel, and Elsie Kiel McDaniel.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Shawna Ayers Green, and her husband, Zack Green, of Texarkana, Texas; his sister, Clarene Ayers Hoyt, and her husband, Ray Hoyt, of Sherwood, Arkansas; his three cherished grandchildren, Zach, Chelsea, and Carleigh Green; sister-in-law Brenda Ayers; nephew Christopher Ayers and a host of beloved first cousins, family and friends.

A graveside service to honor Bobby’s life and final 10-4 will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 12:00 P.M.at Redwater Cemetery under the direction Texarkana Funeral Home in Texarkana, Texas.
