Pleasant Grove High School athletes participate in National Signing Day


The following athletes signed with colleges and universities on Wednesday, February 6 in the Pleasant Grove High School gymnasium.

Seth Hopkins, Seminole State (Baseball)
Garrett Young, University of Dallas (Basketball)
James Wiggins, Louisiana College (Football)
Kamren Woods, Ouachita Baptist University (Football)
Avery Jensen,Hendrix College (Soccer)

Coaches, administration, family, and friends joined the athletes to congratulate them on their post-secondary plans.

“This is an exciting time for our school and especially our athletes,” Athletic Director Josh Gibson said. “These young men and women have accomplished a goal that very few obtain. I want to thank each one of them for representing our school and community in exemplary fashion. I’m confident each student-athlete will make an impact on their new teams, and their new schools and communities. We wish them the best!”

Numerous Hawk athletes have received offers to other universities. The Hawks recently completed their football season as State Champion Runner-Up and hold the current district titles in Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Golf, Tennis, and Cross Country.
