Widespread strong to severe thunderstorms will be developing over the Ark-La-Tex Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
All modes of severe weather will be possible, with damaging wind the most prominent threat followed by large hail, tornadoes, heavy rainfall, and deadly lightning. A few storms will rotate with a tornado threat increasing into the afternoon and overnight as low-level shear will remain sufficient and moisture will be abundant, especially over Arkansas and northern LA.
Severe weather is predicted to arrive in the Texarkana area around 11 a.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued until 1 p.m Wednesday.
