Officers of area law enforcement agencies attended The 7th Annual Texas Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony Wednesday at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center.
Texarkana, Texas Police Chief Dan Shiner, City Manager John Whitson, and Mayor Bob Bruggeman all addressed the crowd. The Dallas Police Choir was also in attendance.
The ceremony honors those who have lost their lives in the line of duty and those who continue to serve. Eleven Texas officers lost their lives in the line of duty in 2014.
