[dropcap]B[/dropcap]owie County Sheriffs Office was alerted to an overturned boat in Lake Wright around Noon on Sunday April, 13, 2014. The boat was found floating upside down in the lake by sheriff deputies & state game warden officers. officers spent around an hour trying to make contact with the registered owner of the boat, who it turned out was at church. The owner confirmed that that boat had capsized the day before and all parties had made it to shore safely. The boat was thought to be lost so they just left it.
About 7 Sheriff Deputies and members from the Bowie County Dive Team and State Game Warden responded with 3 boats and spent two hours investigating. The boat was towed back to the boat ramp by a state game warden.
