Car runs traffic light, collides with sheriff’s deputy

A car collided with a Bowie County Sheriff’s Deputy after running a stop light at Kings Highway and St. Michael Dr, according to police radio traffic.

The collision sent sent the deputy’s vehicle into the grass near the Road Runner gas station.

Both drivers were checked out by LifeNet on scene and released.

According to radio traffic, the vehicle ran a traffic light and collided with the patrol vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Texarkana, Texas Police and Fire, Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Texas DPS Troopers, Texas State Game Wardens, a Bowie County Constable, Wake Village Police, and Nash Police were all quickly on scene.
