Funeral arrangements have been made for the Correctional Officer who was killed after being attacked at the Miller County Detention Center.
Correctional Officer, Lisa Mauldin, was one of two female correction officers who were brutally attacked by an inmate in the Miller County Detention Center, on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at approximately 01:00 p.m.
After the attack, Officer Lisa Mauldin succumbed to her injuries and the second victim, Officer Demaris Allen, was transported to a Little Rock, Arkansas hospital in critical condition.
According to Miller County Sheriff’s Office at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, a Miller County Sheriff Office Deputy left Texarkana escorting the Texarkana Funeral Home to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock to bring correctional officer, Lisa Mauldin, back to Miller County.
Family visitation will be on Wednesday December 21, 2016 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Texarkana Funeral Home located at 4801 Four States Fair Pkwy, Texarkana, AR 71854.
The funeral will be held at Trinity Baptist Church located at 3115 Trinity Blvd, Texarkana, AR Thursday December 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
Following the funeral service, the burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Texarkana Texas.
