UPDATE – At approximately 9:30 a.m. Destin Wallace w/m 14 years of age from Fouke Arkansas was pronounced deceased at LSU Medical Center. Based on the investigation by the Miller County Sheriff Office the death has been classified as accidental.
A fourteen year old was accidentally shot by his friend, police say.
According to Miller County Sheriff’s Office Monday evening deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of highway 71 in reference to a shooting.
On Monday, December 19, 2016, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Miller County answered to a parent who called 911 stating her child had accidentally shot his friend.
According to authorities, when deputies and first responders arrived at the residence, they found a 14-year-old male in critical condition.
MCSO deputies closed a section of U.S. Hwy 71 to allow Life Net’s helicopter to land.
The juvenile was airlifted to LSUS medical center and is in critical condition.
The Miller County Sheriff Office Criminal Investigation Unit responded to the scene and continue to investigate the incident.
