Motorcyclist Air Lifted by LifeNet After Crashing 2148 Near US 67

12:00 A.M. Saturday | A motorcycle ran off the road and crashed in a curve about half a mile south of U.S. Highway 67 and Farm To Market 2148 near Texarkana.  Liberty Eylau Volunteer Fire Department was quickly on scene and soon requested the LifeNet helicopter.

The helicopter landed in a field next to a house just off of 2148 and an ambulance transported the patient a few hundred yards to the helicopter.  According to radio traffic the person that called 911 reporting the accident left the scene and said they would be back.

A first responder on scene said that the driver was alert and responding to their questions but he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.   The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.  Bowie County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Texas DPS troopers were also on scene.
