We came across some old Texarkana Postcards that are apart of The Tichnor Brothers Collection. These postcards are located in Boston Public Library.

The Tichnor Brothers Collection: Approximately 25,000 postcards that are office proofs from the Tichnor Brothers files. These are color postcards with a linen texture, dating from the late 1940’s to 1960’s. The concentration is on American vacation places. The cards are numbered and organized alphabetically by city and town.

The Tichnor Brothers Collection: Approximately 25,000 postcards that are office proofs from the Tichnor Brothers files. These are color postcards with a linen texture, dating from the late 1940’s to 1960’s. The concentration is on American vacation places. The cards are numbered and organized alphabetically by city and town.

The Kattenburg Collection: A substantial gift of postcards from the avid postcard collector Burns Kattenburg. Approximately 19,000 postcards of American cities and towns arranged alphabetically with in each state.

The Boston Postcard Collection: Approximately 5,000 postcards, donated by postcard collector William Crane and others. Postcards depict architecture, businesses and general views of Boston, dating from 1900 to the present.

J. O. Brew Streetcar and Railway Collection: John Otis Brew, Director of the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University (1948-1967), collected books, timetables, ephemera, model trains and postcards of world-wide streetcar and rail transportation. The approximately 25,000 postcards within the collection are arranged by country, with a strong emphasis on rail transportation in New England.

Postcards of the United States: Approximately 65,000 postcards of the United States. This large collection, comprising several gifts, is organized by state. Majority of cards are circa 1960.

Postcards of the World: Approximately 30,000 postcards of the World. This collection brings together a number of gifts, through the years, of vacationers and world travelers.

Holiday Postcards: A collection of approximately 500 postcards of various American and European holidays, greetings and special events.
