Steak ‘n Shake employees are currently undergoing training  for opening in Texarkana on Cowhorn Creek on Monday, May 18, 2015.

According to owner John Ryden the Texarkana store is going to be the biggest in the world. “There are going to be 87 parking spaces that are 10 feet wide, not the usual 9 foot,” said Ryden.

“I would encourage people to look at the Steak N’ Shake website to see what is on the menu,” stated Ryden. “Texarkana residents will be able to get a double steak burger and plate of shoestring fries for $3.99. The milkshakes are delicious,” stated Ryden.

He is also putting an emphasis on quality of service. “It is all about the quality of the service. We are going to hire excellent servers,” stated Ryden.

According to Ryden the restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. for the first few months and then will be open 24/7. The restaurant will seat 100 people and have outdoor seating for 60.

“The Texarkana location is the new design, new prototype store, and it will be state of the art. It is going to be gorgeous,” stated Ryden.

We will have a much bigger emphasis on carry out than any store in the nation. The store will also have a door designated for carry out,” stated Ryden.

Customers can order and pay via the web or phone app for quick pickup form the counter or drive-thru window said Ryden.
